My wife, young-adult son and I recently completed a marvelous trek around the Annapurna circuit. Chabbi guided our party, helped by the energetic and delightful porters.  I had trekked around the circuit in 1996 and my wife and two other children and I went to the Everest region six years ago, so we have had some experience in Nepal.

Chabbi was very special as a guide.  First, he led us on a safe, delightfully enjoyable and informative trek.  We had snow, ice and visibility problems as we entered the Thorong La. We had complete competence in Chabbi's judgment that we cross when we did. As we talked with other trekkers later, we concluded that he was correct in his judgment that we should proceed when we did. He was very professional and highly skilled in all his interactions with us, helping each of us in difficult situations as we needed it, and making comfortable and convenient arrangements for hotels and meals.  Unique Treks helped us from our arrival in Kathmandu to the time we left.
