Day 01 Arrive Kathmandu (1,330 m / 4,264 ft)
Upon your arrival in Nepal, you’ll be warmly greeted by our representative at the Tribhuvan International Airport. They will help you with your transfer to the hotel. Once there, you’ll have some time to rest.
Day 02 Preparation and Sightseeing
Today you can explore around Kathmandu valley, visit the world heritage sites, and enjoy the local foods and culture. You can visit local shops around Thamel to buy necessary items for the trek. In the evening your trek guide will meet you at your hotel and provide a detailed explanation of your upcoming trip.
Day 03 Drive to Chame (2,710 m / 8,891 ft)
We'll set off from Kathmandu to Besisahar in a comfortable private vehicle, a journey that offers captivating views of landscapes, rivers, terraced farms, and small villages. The travel duration is roughly 6-7 hours, depending on road conditions and traffic, with Besisahar as our midday destination. Our journey continues from Besisahar to Chame, the administrative hub of Manang District and a strategic point for the Annapurna sanctuary. The route is adorned with picturesque villages and terraced fields, gradually unveiling the majestic Annapurna and Lamjung Himalayan range. After a 5–6-hour drive, we will reach Chame, nestled at an altitude of 2,710 meters.
Day 04 Trek to Pisang (3,185 m / 10,449 ft)
This is where our trek begins. The journey from Chame to Pisang typically spans 5-6 hours, although this can fluctuate based on your walking speed. As you near Pisang, your path will align with the Marshyangdi River Valley, presenting the river’s charm and awe-inspiring mountain vistas. After a day of trekking, you’ll find yourself in Pisang, situated at an elevation of 3,185 meters.
Day 05 Trek to Manang (3,540 m / 11,614 ft)
Today's journey will lead you to the village of Manang, a trek that typically takes about 5-6 hours from Pisang. Your path to Manang will take you through enchanting forests of pine and bushes, across a number of suspension bridges, and small lakes . After trekking for 5-6 hours, you'll arrive in Manang, a place celebrated for its stunning natural landscapes and rich cultural heritage.
Day 06 Rest/Acclimatization Day at Manang
Having ascended to an elevation exceeding 3500 meters, it's crucial for the body to acclimatize properly before continuing. Therefore, you'll be spending a day in Manang for rest and acclimatization. This day presents an opportunity to discover the charm of Manang village and undertake a brief hike to a slightly higher altitude within Manang, aiding your acclimatization process.
Day 07 Trek to Yak Kharka (4,000 m / 13,123 ft)
Today, you'll depart from Manang and proceed on your trek to Yak Kharka. Along the way, you'll be treated to breathtaking views of the nearby mountain peaks and a glimpse of the Kaligandaki river. After a 4–5-hour trek, you'll arrive at Yak Kharka. Originally a grazing area for yaks and other livestock, it now serves as a rest stop for trekkers on the Annapurna circuit.
Day 08 Trek to Thorong Phedi (4,500 m / 14,764 ft)
Today's trek will take you from Yak Kharka to Thorang Phedi, which serves as the base camp for the ascent to Thorong La. As you journey through this segment of the trek, you'll traverse valleys that offer a fascinating look into the geological history of the region. The trek from Yak Kharka to Thorang Phedi is typically completed in 3-4 hours. The unique geological features of the area contribute to an enriching and memorable experience.
Day 09 Trek to Muktinath (3,800 m / 12,467 ft) via Thorong La pass (5,416 m / 17,769 ft)
Today marks the most demanding, yet fulfilling day of the trek as you traverse Thorong La (Pass) en route to Muktinath. The path to Thorong La gets intense, steeper and rockier. Upon reaching the pass, at an elevation of 5,416 meters, you're rewarded with a stunning view of the nearby peaks of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges. After taking in the sights at the pass, you'll make your way down to Muktinath, a globally recognized pilgrimage site for both Hindus and Buddhists.
Day 10 Drive from Muktinath to Pokhara via the Jomsom Highway
Once you've taken the time to explore the Muktinath temple in the morning, you'll depart from Muktinath and set off for Pokhara via the Jomsom Highway. This route provides breathtaking views of the Kaligandaki river, along with the majestic Annapurna and Dhaulagiri Mountain ranges. After a journey of approximately 6-8 hours, you'll arrive in Pokhara, a city renowned for its tranquil lakes, vibrant tourism scene, and cosmopolitan culture.
Day 11 Rest/Exploration Day at Pokhara
The trek has come to an end and today you can explore around Pokhara valley before heading to Kathmandu. You can visit the lakes; paragliding is a famous sport here. Similarly, nightlife in Pokhara is unique as well.
Day 12 Drive back to Kathmandu (1,330 m / 4,264 ft)
Following breakfast in Pokhara, we'll start our journey back to Kathmandu. As we travel, you'll be able to appreciate the picturesque landscapes of terraced fields, rivers, and rural settings. Once we arrive in Kathmandu, you'll be transported to your hotel, to rest and organize your belongings.
Day 13 Final Departure
Our team will meet with you at your hotel and facilitate your transfer to Tribhuvan International Airport for your departure. We'll share warm farewells, marking the conclusion of our memorable trip together to Annapurna Circuit Trek.
